I’ve said this for years, but we are heading for a future which will see your furry best mates permanently confined to lead walks only when outdoors, unless they’re in a designated dog park area like they have in American (that’s a whole different level of hell which I won’t discuss today!)
Lockdown Puppy Boom
According to Propellanet, Google searches relating to buying a puppy increased 120% in April last year, less than a month after the first lockdown was announced. ‘Adopt a puppy’ Google searches also increased by a whopping 133%.
Have You Experienced Collie Chaos?
Collies are awesome. I say it often and it’s because it’s true. They are a magnificent breed of dog with both beauty and brains. They are masters at learning new skills, professionals in manipulating owners with adorable head tilts, pawing and puppy eyes. They can round up the kids as they stray on a walk and will give your life so much love that you feel like you’re living in a rainbow heaven.

The Crazy Collie Lady who Never Used to Like Collies….. Part 1.
I’ve been the proud owner of
border collies for 10 years now. I got my first ‘proper collie’ in June 2010
from a breeder in Doncaster. I got my 2nd collie in March 2012, and
I’ve been a confirmed crazy collie lady ever since!!
However, it wasn’t always that way. Believe it or not, I used to HATE collies. Having one never crossed my mind and if I’m honest, I didn’t trust them as far as I could throw them….
I’m an Award Winner nowadays!
Here we are in August and I’m left wondering how the actual fuck that happened, because it feels like Spring was just beginning recently. Lockdown, doom and gloom, face masks, anti bac gel, loo roll madness and eating too much chocolate has made the last 4 and a bit months seem a bit dream-like.
What’s in your Centre?
Well it’s Easter Monday as I write this and I think it’s the weirdest Easter weekend we have experienced. Of course because we are in lockdown, the sun was shining warmly on Saturday and the smell of BBQs filled the air. Thea and I made the most of our daily exercise and walked the dogs in the lush woods. You just can’t beat a woodland walk in spring. Then once Thea was in bed I fired up my fire pit and sat in the garden with a beer till it got dark. Bliss, considering the state of the world!
Virus Survival with your dog! Pandemic Do’s and Don’ts!
What a f*cking week. Possibly the longest week in the history of weeks (for us in our lifetime anyway)
Toilet Rolls & Madness!
I’m taking a break from the blogs I was doing about the 10 Years of Born 2 Run to talk about your dog mental health!!
If you haven’t noticed, the world has gone slighty mad. Supermarkets are bare because folk have
decided to stockpile, the elderly and families are struggling to get the basics and a lot of people have to work from home.
10 Years of Born 2 Run! In the beginning……
The 8th March 2020 will be my 10th anniversary of being a business owner. I can’t actually fathom where the last 10 years have gone and when I look back it’s crazy to see how far I’ve come. Granted I’m not as far ahead as I would have liked, but that’s because life loves to throw you a few curve balls. I’ve had some epic highs and I’ve had some lows which have almost killed me off – literally and figuratively!!
